Dear friends and supporters,
 
Who is sufficient for the things that God wants to do through them? None of us are. We are dependent on the Lord, as the branch is dependent on the vine. Without Him, we can do nothing. One of the great joys of ministry is the opportunity to see the Lord transform lives in ways that only He can. What a thrill it is to baptize disciples whose testimonies include not only a recognition of God’s amazing grace, but also testimonies of how the Lord worked to convict them of sin and convince them of the Gospel.
 
The early months of 2024 have been fertile in witnessing opportunities. So far this year, we have baptized one, and two more will be baptized in the coming days. We have also seen one lady come to Christ, and she will be baptized soon also. These new disciples are very hungry for the Word, which has been a wonderful encouragement to us. Thank you for the part that you play in getting the Gospel to these souls, who are now brothers and sisters in Christ!
 
Of course, ministry is seldom linear. While we praise the Lord for transformed lives, there are also a host of situations that require private exhortation and reproof. It seems that times of growth also come with times of testing, and we solicit your prayers for the church here.
 
We continue to search for a new meeting facility. We visited one this past Saturday, but that door has since closed. In short, we are praying for a building that is already zoned for a church, for which we can get an occupancy permit for a church, that is spacious enough for our church to grow, and ideally that is somewhat functional for a church from the start. We have very few men who would be skilled and confident in remodeling or renovations, so we would need to hire outside help to help the few men that would have this skill set. The Lord knows, and we trust that He has the perfect place for His church. We know that this request has been mentioned repeatedly, but we solicit your continued prayers.
 
From now until the summer, we have several ministry projects. Other than the discipleship and baptism of converts, as previously mentioned, we are starting an evangelism seminar for the entire church family. Our goal is that every member will be confident in presenting the Gospel to others. We will also be using a French Gospel presentation video for evangelism, which you can view here. We will also be teaching the believers how to accompany new converts in their first steps as believers. We plan on starting up the in-house Bible institute again and giving it a more formal and permanent structure. Finally, we have revival services in May and a missions or evangelism booster scheduled for June.
 
Melissa and the boys continue with their year of homeschool. Daniel will take some provincial ministry exams in June also. Eric and Melissa continue to teach Bible college classes, and Melissa continues teaching music until the summer. We are grateful for the many opportunities that God brings our way. Daniel accompanied Eric on a missions trip to West Africa, where he had the opportunity to teach the Bible and engage in evangelistic work while Eric was the instructor in a Bible institute and preached in a few churches. We pray that the Lord will use this trip in Daniel’s heart for the long term.
 
Thank you for your many expressions of love to our family. We are grateful for the prayers and the faithful support. Not that we desire a gift, but we desire fruit that may abound to your account (Phil. 4.17).
